Trying to get shredded but missing cake too much? If you drink protein shakes post work out, then chances are you have ingredients sitting right there, ready to be made into a delicious 60 second cake.
Serves:
1 person as a snack/dessert
Preparation time: 5 min
Cooking time: 1 minute
1 Scoop of chocolate or vanilla whey protein
1/4 cup almond/coconut/cow’s milk (or enough to make the mixture combine)
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tbsp coconut flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients in a large mug and the place in a microwave. Cook for anywhere between 30-90 seconds depending on how you like it. You will end up with a gooey lava cake at around 45 seconds and a solid sponge cake at 90 seconds.
TIP – Rinse your mug in water, then pour out the water so the mug is still damp. Add either a sprinkle of dried coconut or chopped hazelnuts. Roll around the mug so it sticks to the sides or the bottom (which will become the top). It gives a different cake each time and is a great dessert to show off to your fitness friends!
