Everyone loves pizza, right?
Pizza comes in a very big variety of tastes depending on ingredients, making, the size and texture etc. it has something for everyone. Unlike most other foods, everyone will most probably find a kind they will like.
In this Months recipe, we ae sharing a very unique and healthy version of Pizza. In our recipe, the usual bread base will be replaced by an egg omelette. So, let’s start with the ingredients –
Ingredients:
6 large egg whites
1 tsp fresh oregano, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ red onion, thinly sliced
10 button mushrooms, thinly sliced
1 tbsp olives, halved
1 tbsp basil, shredded
2 tbsp olive oil
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Directions:
- Heat your pan on medium heat with a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot add your mushrooms and onion and saute for a couple of minutes. You can add other veggies of your choice as a topping for the pizza.
- In a bowl whisk your egg whites along with oregano, salt, and pepper till smooth. Meanwhile heat up a non-stick pan with a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot enough pour whisked eggs over the pan making sure you evenly coat the bottom. Add the sautee’ed veggies, olives, and fresh basil, and make sure to evenly spread over your eggs.
- Cover with lid and let it cook for a couple of minutes. Then sprinkle your cheese over your eggs. Add your oregano seasoning, gently fold your eggs, and cover for a couple more minutes till eggs are cooked.
- Add salt, pepper to taste, serve, and be amazed!!
